The Thunder Bay Weavers and Spinners Guild was first formed in 1978 as a way for hand weavers and spinners in the City of Thunder Bay , Ontario and surrounding Townships to gather on a regular basis. Meetings are used to Plan guild projects , Discuss ways to Interest Young People in the art and craft of Weaving and Spinning , Assist each other in the Design and Setup of Personal Projects , as well as Fund Raising , Public Awareness Events , Demonstrations , Craft Shows , and Country Fairs .
